select a heic image
HEIC is the file format name Apple has chosen for the new HEIF standard. HEIF is a container that can be a single image or a series of images, which makes it an ideal choice for Apple’s Live Photos. It is based on HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding). This format is more convenient than the old JPEG, mainly because it is twice as small, despite its good quality. However, not so many programs can open it, which is why you may need to convert it to other formats.
With the introduction of iOS 11, Apple adopted HEIF in 2017, and support for other platforms is growing.
JPG is supported on almost all platforms.
You can convert .HEIC to .JPG to support for more platforms.
